Two Victoria Police officers are in hot water with their bosses after apparently nicking off with a $650,000 counter-terrorism boat to access a remote surfing spot off the coast of Point Nepean National Park. Quarantines or ‘Quarras’ is described as an awesome left-hand break hundreds of metres offshore and only accessible by boat. It’s a fast and hollow wave the locals know how to navigate well but blow-ins might find themselves in trouble with horrendous currents at times.

It is understood, the officers had been assisting the Special Operations Group with an annual counter-terrorism training exercise. They apparently snuck their boards on and took the boat out to Quarras after the training had been completed. Nice to see our taxpayer dollars going to good use. Rip it up lads!
