FRIDAY

To kick things off we have the wonderful and always exciting, Banquet bringing you a night of live electronica, great tunes, fun people and teapots to make you dance into the early morning. With headliners Frost bringing the electronic vibe and Fierce Mild on that live music flick, you know it’s going to be worth your while checking it ouuuuuut. The great Australian house record label, October Records is putting on a very special event for you all, called October Nights. With an all star cast coming in to bring the groove including local legend back from overseas Lancelot and supported by Amatuer Dance, Endgrain, Mira Boru, The Completely Boys, and McInnes. This dance of the ages is happening at one of Sydneys best house music venues, Civic Underground, where the sound is delightful and the atmosphere feels like home. The Underground Arts Party and Jam Gallery are putting on a very unique event this Friday, toting itself as Madame Technos Haus Of Wax. The description is that of a regular wax museum, only some of the characters will be alive, so prepare to be shocked. It’ll be pumping techno from start to finish, from some of Sydneys best. With FBi radio presenter and weapon selector Andy Garvey on a special 4 hour set, taking you on a journey through time and space. To kick off your Saturday, why not head down to Manly for the surf open and catch arguably one of the best live performance electronic artists in Australia, Hermitude with a support show from Elkroad. The event is completely free and happening beach side from 5:30 pm. What better way to kick start your Saturday really?

Another record label party comes from Sydney based group, Refuge Records. They’re taking over the intimate space of The Bunk3r on Oxford Street. They’re bringing over NYC based artist Greco for the occasion. His music is super jacking house music, made for wall to wall pump and ultimate vibe dance floors. STARFUCKERS have long been the lords of pump on dates around Mardi Gras. Their special Pardi Gra event is going down this Saturday night, with an all star cast of their favourite acts. As with every Saturday, they’ll be turning the terrace of Home Nightclub into an absolute rave cave, with sweat dripping from walls, ceilings and everything in between. The team over at Vibe Positive are bringing a very loving and positive warehouse party, filled with disco and warm textured house music. Selectors from Sydney and abroad are taking stage with the likes of Nite Fleit, Andy Garvey, Bobby Vibe Positive, Valerie Yum and special guest from Melbourne, Jennifer Loveless. The main noteworthy event in our eyes this Sunday is presented by the amazing team over at Astral People. They, alongside The Operatives are proud to present you Soulection, a musical experience of the sound of tomorrow. Aimed at pushing the boundaries of music and opening the thought of what music will be trending in the coming years, it’s sure to be an absolute delight.
